Salary: £42,000 - 82,000 per year Requirements: A STEM background with proven experience in product development, ideally within construction or manufacturing Strong, demonstrable experience in New Product Development (NPD) focused on NPD projects Clear understanding of development and manufacturing processes, with the ability to explain and apply them Experience working with manufacturing operations, including outsourced suppliers, with the ability to define and assess quality and performance standards Confidence working cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams Ability to translate customer insight into robust technical requirements and development plans Proactive, resilient, and solution-oriented mindset, with strong communication and influencing skills Responsibilities: Lead New Product Development projects from concept to launch, aligned to the SGIS innovation calendar Analyze construction market trends and customer needs to identify new solution opportunities Gather customer insight from house builders, main contractors, and architects, and translate this into clear technical specifications Design, develop, and test formulations, materials, and systems in laboratory environments Build and test full-scale prototypes to evaluate real-world performance Work closely with manufacturing teams, both internal and external, to define quality standards and ensure solutions are manufacturable at scale Collaborate with suppliers to align quality, performance, and supply requirements Visit construction sites and external test facilities to validate solutions in live environments Lead cross-functional project teams and influence stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget Ensure all solutions meet safety, quality, compliance, and sustainability standards, supporting Saint-Gobains net zero ambitions Technologies: Hardware More: At Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions, we aim to make the world a better home by innovating in light and sustainable construction.
