Offer description

To manage and control production and achieve the line processing and packing plans. To ensure the quality of all production meets customer specification. Responsible to ensure minimum downtime and achieve production targets.

Shift: Monday to Friday 8.30-17.00
Pay rate: £14.73
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
To work in a manner that promotes the health and safety of oneself and others.
Report any health and safety issues to your section leader.
Ensures Quality, Hygiene and production standards are maintained in the production environment.
Responsibility to ensure that line speeds and performances are achieved, with the aim of maximising line efficiency.
Recommend any improvements to work methods which could improve the productivity, performance, safety of the operation.
To communicate regularly and effectively with your team and Management in order that they are fully briefed on all aspects of line / area operations, in particular the achievement of line/ area targets, employee attitudes and product quality
Liaise with the incoming / outgoing shift changeover to establish any problems with machinery etc.
Control and have effective organisation of the labour allocated to your line
Responsible for managing the timings of breaks to ensure minimum downtime and
maximum efficiency
Ensure operatives are trained to line requirements.
Liaise with all departments to ensure effective production of the products.
Apply and abide by all aspects of legislation and Company Policy on Health, Safety and Environmental including RSI, back injuries and Lifting and Handling, constantly seeking to eliminate hazards which would be injurious to personnel.
To undertake any other reasonable and relevant duties as required by Management.
Ensure that hourly KPI boards are filled in on time and hold daily cell meetings to discuss performance with the team.
To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within your area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
You may be asked to work in any area of the business as and when demand requires it.
Flexibility to work outside core hours to meet orders and demand of the business.
Manage Buddies to ensure training is effective for employees and agency workers.
