Field Service Manager - Aftermarket

The Role
As the Aftermarket Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing a skilled site service team, ensuring service activities are expertly sold, planned, and executed. You'll be the driving force behind successful maintenance, inspection, upgrade, and retrofit projects—acting as the key point of contact for customers, suppliers, and service personnel. This is a hands‑on, impactful role where your technical expertise, leadership strengths, and customer‑centric mindset will directly influence project success and long‑term client relationships.
You'll oversee planning, resource allocation, risk assessments, method statements, and service operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. From troubleshooting and technical support to guiding multidisciplinary teams, you'll thrive in an environment where no two days are the same. Occasional UK and international travel—including offshore—provides further variety and opportunity for growth.
Your Background:
1. ONC / Level 3 Qualification (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field).
2. Proven experience in a similar role within an engineering/manufacturing business, ideally having worked within the Power Generation/Oil & Gas sectors.
3. Experience in a service environment, ideally leading service engineers
4. A solid understanding of the industrial installation projects.
5. Familiarity with the equipment, tools, and processes used in engineering construction sites.
6. Experience managing and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on active industrial sites.
7. Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and protocols specific to industrial environments.
