An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Estates Team. In your role as the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will deliver an effective integrated maintenance service, aligned with HSE, Inspection Prevention Control, legislative requirements, CQC, and Ofsted standards.
Role Requirements
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will deliver an effective integrated maintenance service, aligned with HSE, Inspection Prevention Control, legislative requirements, CQC, and Ofsted standards.
As part of the organization's maintenance function, the Maintenance Engineer will provide planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, inspections, testing, building alteration, and refurbishment works. They will also be required to provide technical and professional advice as necessary to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, to the required quality standard, on time, within budget constraints, and in accordance with legal and statutory requirements.
These services will be provided at the Tadworth site and retail units in a shift pattern covering 7 days a week.
1. Inspect, fault find, carry out repairs to all buildings and building services across the estate.
2. Be flexible, adapting to a changing work environment and needs, reassessing work methods, and responding to urgent requests.
3. Undertake required planned preventative maintenance assigned to you.
4. Complete assigned tests and inspections.
5. Help review, develop, and work to policies and procedures.
6. Inspect and replenish fixed oxygen systems as required and trained.
7. Receive, raise, acknowledge, update progress, and close jobs on the CAFM system via provided tablet.
8. Help review, determine, and work to service level agreements.
9. Review and follow plans, specifications, and instructions to ensure accurate and safe completion of work.
10. Review inspection reports and determine remedial work requirements.
11. Assess and identify required materials, tools, and equipment for completion of tasks.
12. Liaise with the helpdesk for ordering of required materials and to maintain agreed stock levels.
13. Support and update the Project Manager on agreed project works undertaken in-house.
14. Assess and complete condition reports as required.
15. Communicate with staff as required, providing updates on works and ensuring any disruption to normal activities are managed and agreed.
16. Escort and supervise Sub-Contractors as required in line with policy.
17. Deputise as instructed by the Head of Estates or the Senior Engineer.
18. Undertake general estate duties extending to but not limited to; gritting, litter picking, emptying bins, and jet washing.
19. Undertake other duties within your skills and abilities as reasonably required by the organization.
