We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our KS1 team in a friendly Wigan primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference in the early years of children's learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher as a Teaching Assistant in delivering engaging lessons
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils as a Teaching Assistant
* Assist with classroom organisation, learning resources, and behaviour management as a Teaching Assistant
* Encourage independence, confidence, and positive attitudes to learning
* Act as a reliable and approachable Teaching Assistant for both staff and pupils
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in KS1 or primary settings
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach suitable for a Teaching Assistant role
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child welfare practices
* Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant - desirable but not essential
