Job Title: EC &I Engineer
Location: Peterhead (AB42 3EP), United Kingdom
Murphy is recruiting for a EC & I Engineer to work with Natural Resources on Contract/Location.
We maintain, operate, modify, design, construct, and commission energy networks and facilities across four countries, supporting our customers' energy transition and net zero commitments. We provide safe, reliable services as a trusted EPFCM&D partner, working with oil, gas, and renewable energy projects.
A day in the life of a Murphy E&I Project Engineer
* Conduct risk assessments, design reviews, procurement, scope of works, and quality assurance of E&I works.
* Supervise in-house E&I technicians and subcontractors, ensuring work quality and compliance with regulations.
* Coordinate between disciplines, contractors, and clients.
* Manage permits, RAMS, ITPs, E&I installation, testing, ATEX inspections, and documentation for clients.
* Perform quality control checks to meet standards.
* Provide technical support and advice to team members.
* Promote health, safety, and environmental best practices with SHQE.
* Identify, coach, and develop staff.
* Maintain accurate daily site diaries, including changes and discussions.
* Ensure completion of inspection and test plans per PMP/Specification.

* HNC or equivalent qualification
* Qualified Electrician with Level 2 electrical installation, 18th edition, 2391, CompEx 1-4
* Knowledge of current regulations and standards relevant to E&I
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder relationship management
* Strong leadership and team motivation skills
* Problem-solving skills for technical issues
* Experience in Oil & Gas or Water industries
* Willing to travel as needed
