Are you from a housing and tenancy management background with experience in homelessness services? We have an exciting opportunity within our Supported Living Team to work as a Supported Living Officer.
You will be responsible for managing approximately 280 units of supported stock across several local authorities, designed or designated for specific client groups with diverse needs such as autism, learning disabilities, mental health, physical disabilities, homelessness, care leavers, complex needs, domestic abuse, etc.
Reporting to the Supported Living Lead, you will follow our policies and procedures, coordinating tenancy management, rent collection, arrears management, allocation and letting of properties, and monitoring health & safety compliance in line with MSV requirements on our supported schemes.
What do our Supported Living Officers do?
* Liaise with referral agencies and the Local Authority regarding nominations to the supported living schemes, letting properties following allocation, and advising new tenants of their rights and responsibilities.
* Monitor managing agents regularly as per risk assessments and visit projects biannually to ensure efficient operation and compliance with repair obligations.
* Support the Contract Coordinator to ensure all partners have Management/Service Level Agreements in place.
* Ensure schemes have robust health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments, carry out fire safety checks, maintain incident and accident books, and discuss health and safety at team meetings.

* Experience collaborating with other agencies.
* Knowledge of landlord/tenant/support relationships and responsibilities.
* Customer-focused with a commitment to high service standards.
* A valid driving license, as travel across schemes in the northwest is required.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. An enhanced criminal records check is required, but a conviction does not necessarily disqualify you. Further details are in our safeguarding policy.
