We are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join the exceptional team at Prospere House School, a specialist SEN provision in South Manchester.
This role is to start April 2026 for a full time postion and is a fantastic opportunity to work in a welcoming and supportive environment, providing care and learning support for primary aged pupils with complex needs including autism, learning difficulties, and behaviours that can challenge.
Your Role as a Teaching Assistant:
Working alongside teachers, therapists, and wider support staff, you will help deliver person-centred, nurturing support that empowers every student to thrive.
Key responsibilities:
* Support pupils in lessons, helping them access the curriculum at their level
* Implement positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies
* Build consistent and trusting relationships with students
* Assist with personal care needs when required
* Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social skills
* Promote a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
About You:
We are looking for individuals who are:
* Experienced in working with children or young people with SEND and behaviours that challenge
* Calm, resilient, and confident in building rapport with students
* Team players who can also work independently and show initiative
* Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal skills
* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Team Teach, MAPA) are highly desirable but not essential if candidates have extensive experience in a similar setting.
