Procurement Officer
We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer for a world class, quality focussed manufacturing client based just outside of Ballymena. The purpose of the role is resource suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
The Role
·Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise sourcing and supplier selection processes.
·Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings.
·Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement within the procurement function.
·Liasing with other departments e.g., production, operations, and finance to align procurement activities with business needs efficiently.
·Procure goods, materials, and services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Personal Specification:
·2+ years of experience in procurement, or a supply chain role.
·Strong negotiation and contract management skills
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Packages.
·Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
