Project Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Public Health department to support the work of the Health Improvement Team. We are looking to recruit an organised and enthusiastic individual to support the management team in Live Life Better Derbyshire as a Project Officer.
The post holder will support the service in the following ways (not exhaustive)
1. Performance data analysis, to include research of standard and non-standard data and generation of performance reports from a number of data sources
2. Support with the development and maintenance of within the service. This will include work on bespoke databases and DCC databases
3. By undertaking research to improve the offer of Live Life Better Derbyshire
4. Project management of appropriate projects and providing support to Service Managers where required.
5. Delivery of training to partners and stakeholders about LLBD services and IT systems.
6. Scheduling and monitoring Live Life Better Derbyshire social media
This role will also require the post holder to have excellent general IT literacy. The post holder will require excellent Microsoft Excel skills due to the analytical nature of this role as well as the flexibility to adapt to different databases and case management systems.
Due to the nature of the service the successful candidate must demonstrate the ability and commitment to undertaking a comprehensive range of duties as well as demonstrating flexibility in order to meet the demands of the service.

Project Officer - Live Life Better Derbyshire
Supplementary information for candidates:
This Project Officer role is positioned within the Live Life Better Derbyshire smoking cessation service which provides evidence-based smoking cessation interventions to the local population with support targeted to those most in need.
On 4 October 2023, the government published Stopping the start: our new plan to create a smoke free generation. This included a programme of funding to support current smokers to quit smoking, with £70 million additional funding per year for local authority stop smoking services and support. This additional funding will drive more people into stop smoking services and support more people to quit smoking.
Applicants will actively manage projects whilst engaging with partners and stakeholders to target harder to reach groups. This will involve the following duties:
7. Building demand for the stop smoking service by leading and co-ordinating initiatives targeted at harder to reach groups
8. Develop opportunities and support mechanisms that drive an increase in referrals to the stop smoking service
9. Support marketing and promotion activities
