We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team, specialising in the installation, maintenance, and repair of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys hands-on work and ensuring workplace safety through effective ventilation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and thorough examinations of LEV systems in accordance with COSHH regulations and HSG258 guidance
* Perform LEV system installations, commissioning, and modifications at client sites across various industries
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to LEV equipment including fans, filters, ductwork, and control systems
* Conduct performance testing using appropriate instrumentation to ensure systems meet required specifications
* Complete detailed service reports and certification documentation
* Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients regarding system performance and compliance
* Respond to emergency callouts and breakdown situations in a timely manner
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in LEV systems or similar ventilation/HVAC engineering
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on fault-finding skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
* Good communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach
* Comfortable working at heights and in varied industrial environments
Desirable Qualifications
* Recognized engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* P601 LEV testing qualification or willingness to obtain
* Experience with LEV testing equipment and instrumentation
* Knowledge of welding, fabrication, or sheet metal work
* IPAF or PASMA certification
