Thomas Sherriff has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Ag Sales Professional or Trainee in the Central region of our business. We are looking for an individual to grow our agricultural sales at our Jedburgh outlet, selling market-leading brands including John Deere, Kuhn Farm Machinery, Kramer telehandlers & loaders, Dal-Bo, Stewart Agriculture, and Ifor Williams. The successful candidate should be forward-thinking, preferably with knowledge of modern agricultural machinery and farming practices. Good IT skills are essential to utilize all sales tools, including a comprehensive Customer Relationship Management system. Knowledge of the local area is a plus. We offer a competitive salary, sales commission, a company car, and a pension scheme.
Responsibilities:
* Represent the dealership in selling machinery within a defined sales area.
* Complete all sales process steps to achieve high sales performance using available sales tools.
* Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment and attend relevant sales training.
* Stay informed about financing options to assist customers.
* Monitor competitor activity and communicate findings to sales management.
* Conduct field demonstrations.
* Manage goods delivery and follow-up according to Customer Care Process.
* Build strong relationships with customers in the sales area.
* Monitor industry trends and communicate insights to management.
* Utilize support from Sales Specialists when needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Preferably 1+ years of equipment sales experience, with full training provided if needed.
* Good knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming practices.
* Proficiency in standard computer applications, internet, and sales tools.
* Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
* Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
* Excellent customer relationship skills.
* Willingness to work extended hours.
* Integrity and honesty with a positive attitude.
