Operational Environment:
The Senior Finance Manager will be part of the Supply Chain finance team, managing UK and European supply chain expenditure, including Opex budget setting and cost control. The role involves reporting and ensuring adherence to best financial practices across JD Group Facias Supply Chains (NAM/APAC/MIG/ISRG). The candidate must be adept at influencing and managing remote teams, fostering collaboration to meet Group Supply Chain objectives.
Building strong relationships with Business Units, Partners, and Suppliers is essential to ensure service levels and costs meet KPIs and budgets. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, expenditure management, and delivering excellent customer service. Strong interpersonal, contract management skills, and a partnership approach are required.
The role involves managing a direct expenditure of over £400m across UK and Europe, with responsibilities in budget setting and reporting across other regions. Analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights are critical.
An expenditure mindset of "it is my money" should be ingrained.
Role Overview:
This role involves consolidating, managing, and challenging financial plans. Setting and managing budgets for the UK and Europe requires collaboration with Supply Chain peers, understanding key cost drivers, and service metrics. The role promotes adopting best-in-class processes and reporting across JD global facias, with a focus on continual improvement and deployment of financial analytics tools.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
* Partner with key business units to interpret performance and provide analytical insights.
* Develop advanced financial models for data-driven decision-making.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, anticipating requirements.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and board reports.
* Forecast and budget for distribution centers, analyzing financial changes.
* Generate weekly and monthly performance reports.
* Conduct root cause analysis of spend and budgets to support operations.
* Build relationships with central finance and operational management.
* Serve as the point of contact for Logistics Finance inquiries.
* Challenge non-finance professionals in day-to-day and SLT meetings.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:
