Job Summary
We are seeking a member of the Clinical & Business Team to support our critical applications and assist clinical colleagues. The team currently manages over 40 different applications from PAS and Maxims to Dragon and Smartcards.
This role will support the transition to eCare and its ongoing evolution. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of technology, advanced MS Office skills, strong customer care and communication abilities, experience with NHS clinical applications, and a passion for learning and problem‑solving.
Training and support will be provided to develop system maintenance skills across the applications.
Main Duties
The Clinical & Business Team offers 2nd line application support, handling approximately 53,000 support calls per year. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing support to users on diagnostic and business applications
* Troubleshooting and resolving errors efficiently
* Communicating with third‑party suppliers and configuring software as required
* Maintaining data protection and complying with GDPR guidelines to ensure correct user access levels
* Working independently to manage support tickets and escalation pathways

Essential Qualifications
* English & Maths GCSE or equivalent qualification
* Diploma or NVQ equivalent in IT/Business Administration
Desirable Qualifications
* Clinical or Business system training
* ITIL Foundation qualification
Essential Experience
* Previous experience in an IT software support role
* Experience working within clinical or business software and an appreciation of system administration
Desirable Experience
* System administration experience within software
* Extensive knowledge of the NHS health community environment
* Good understanding of applications used in NHS settings
* Proven knowledge of patient care routes or HR routes
Essential Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
