Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role as an Experienced Optical Advisor located in Huddersfield. The Experienced Optical Advisor will assist customers in selecting eyewear and contact lenses suited to their needs and preferences. Daily tasks include conducting preliminary eye tests, managing customer appointments, and providing advice on suitable eyewear options. They will also be responsible for performing adjustments, repairs, and administrative duties to ensure a smooth customer experience in the optical store.
Qualifications
* Optical knowledge and background in interpreting prescriptions, fitting and adjustments of spectacles
* Customer service skills and experience in managing appointments and providing eyewear advice and recommendations
* Communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and team members
* Administrative skills for handling customer records and store management tasks
* Attention to detail and ability to perform precise optical adjustments
* Experience in the optical industry is an advantage
* Certification or training as an optician or optical advisor is beneficial
