Supply Childcare Practitioner

Zero Hour

£12.21 if Level 2, £12.46 if Level 3

The Octagon and Fenchurch nurseries are looking to recruit flexible nursery practitioners to work across both sites to cover staff sickness, training and holidays on a flexible basis. Practitioners should be able to adapt their skills to work with a range of children from 0 – 5 years old.

The role will include:

* Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in accordance with the Childcare Act 2004.
* To support the room lead and staff team in covering absent staff, caring for children and helping room leaders to keep the day to day running of the rooms going smoothly.
* To provide a stimulating, well-resourced and welcoming environment, both inside and outdoors, which supports children's all-round development and emotional well-being; and provides a range of experiences that develop children's independence and cooperation.
* To support the Senior Early Years Practitioner in the care, education and well- being of the children in the room you are in.

To be successful in this role you will:

· Have Early Years qualification minimum Level 2.

· Have experience working in an Early Years setting.

· Have the ability to adapt and be flexible enough to work with different children and staff and support the team leader during times of staff absence

· Be able to work as part of a team

· Have knowledge and understanding of Children's Centres.

· Have knowledge of child development and ability to remain child focused.
