As a Disassembly Fitter, you will work within an industry-leading organisation at Finning, disassembling machine components to support repair and refurbishment activities.
Job Description
This role would be suited to anyone with an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in industries such as Automotive, Agricultural Engineering, HGV, or individuals already in the industry such as Hose Engineers or Mechanical Fitters seeking career development. The role offers opportunities for progression into a Plant Fitter role and may require periodic training blocks (typically 2 weeks) at our Cannock-based HQ.

Major Job Functions
* Undertake a detailed inspection of the machine to confirm or expand on any initial field inspection report, enabling a commercial assessment of likely repair, replacement, or refurbishment work.
* Produce a comprehensive list of parts and materials required for the proposed machine preparation work.
* Undertake overhaul, repair or refurbishment work on the machine to the agreed work plan, removing and dispatching components for specialist attention, reinstalling the original or replacement part, or repairing original parts.

* Ensure the highest quality of finished machines
* Maintain machine availability and present stock appropriately
* Ensure positive feedback with minimal customer complaints
* Maintain a tidy and safe working area with awareness of SHEQ obligations
Education And Experience
* Either apprentice trained to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or minimum 3 years’ experience in a mechanical service environment within a similar industry
* Practical experience operating construction equipment in confined spaces and performing mechanical fitting work on large-scale machines
