Ipswich School – Ipswich, Suffolk IP1 3SG Teacher of Drama MPR 0.5 FTE Part Time Permanent Reference: 0168 Required from September 2025 We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Drama, with a full, secondary school teaching qualification to join the highly successful Drama Department at Ipswich School. The role involves the delivery of stimulating and challenging lessons to pupils ranging from Year 7 - Year 13, as well as full involvement in all co-curricular areas of the subject. We anticipate the role to be a 3 day per week commitment during term time which will include some after school/evenings during production time. There are also very occasional holiday/weekend commitments. Ipswich School is ambitious about and supportive of Drama and the department benefits from excellent facilities and able, motivated pupils. Ipswich School was rated as ‘Excellent’ in every category in its latest ISI Inspection. The school has a main pay salary scale which mirrors but is more generous than that of the maintained sector. There is currently generous fee remission of fees for children (aged 5 and above) of teaching staff, providing there are vacancies, and the children fulfil the usual entry requirements.
