Licensure
Full GMC registration and a licence to practice is essential for this role. Candidates without GMC registration at the time of shortlisting will not be considered.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality care across trauma and elective orthopaedic services
* Participate in outpatient clinics, theatre lists, ward rounds and on‑call rotas
* Contribute to acute trauma management and peri‑operative care
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Participate in clinical governance, audit, teaching and service development activities
* Uphold and demonstrate the Trust values of Care, Communicate, Collaborate and Contribute
Subspecialty Exposure
* Lower limb arthroplasty
* Soft tissue knee surgery
* Upper limb surgery
* Hand and wrist surgery
* Spinal surgery
* Paediatric orthopaedics
* Acute trauma management
Training & Development
This role has a clearly defined educational structure to support progression toward specialist registration.
* Maintain an up‑to‑date portfolio using the ISCP platform (or equivalent system)
* Engage in regular workplace‑based assessments
* Demonstrate reflective practice and continuous professional development
