Job Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our US/UK Private Client Tax team in London. The role involves managing a portfolio of US-connected clients, providing consultancy and advisory services on personal tax planning and projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain excellent client relationships and deliver high-quality service.
* Manage a portfolio of complex personal tax clients, focusing on UK resident US-connected clients, including HNW individuals and business owners.
* Ensure compliance with UK and US deadlines, monitor time limits, and handle extensions and elections.
* Liaise proactively with clients on advisory matters.
* Assist and lead tax planning projects, including non-domicile issues, expatriation, trust planning, and business structuring.
* Manage HMRC/IRS enquiries and correspondence related to compliance and advisory matters.
* Oversee billing and monitor budgets.
* Review work prepared by junior staff and support their development.
* Present at technical training sessions and contribute to personal and team business development.
* Maintain technical knowledge and adhere to internal procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
* Significant experience in a professional services firm.
* Strong knowledge of private client tax issues, especially advising US clients and non-domiciled individuals.
* Experience in delivering tax planning and compliance projects.
* People management skills and organizational abilities.
Professional Qualifications
* US Enrolled Agent or CPA
* Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser
