Production Helper OW - Line 2C - 4:45pm - 5:15am
Overview
To perform all the various job tasks included in the production of bread and rolls.
Responsibilities
* Attends to the roll dividing equipment to straighten out the dough balls in pans or trays to meet product specifications.
* Attends to the bread rounding equipment to place dough balls into pie tins to meet product specifications.
* Supplies other employees with empty pie tins.
* Monitors conveyors for jams; clears jams safely.
* Inspects products for damage or for conformity to specifications. Notifies Supervisor of any non-conformance of product.
* Pushes material or products between machines or departments on a dolly.
* Picks up pans from dolly and places them onto the conveyor or removes them from conveyor and places them on a dolly.
* Moves pans, racks and dollies to or from the area.
* Starts or stops conveyors by pushing buttons on a control panel.
* Keeps work area clean and organized by picking up debris, sweeping the floor, wiping down the equipment and other sanitation tasks.
* Attends box former by starting and stopping the machine when necessary, keeping magazine full and clearing jams safely.
* Helps mixer by opening boxes or bags of ingredients and loading them into mixers’ hoppers or feeders.
* Performs other tasks that may arise in the production area after appropriate training.
* Helps in the training of new employees or employees who change job classifications.
* Reports all equipment problems to the foreman or supervisor immediately.
* Promotes safety by understanding and following safety procedures and reporting all incidents in a timely manner.
* Plans and carries out job assignments without creating hazards to yourself and other employees.

Skills/Experience
* High school diploma or GED equivalent.
* One year of general warehouse/production work experience.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English.
* Ability to write routine quality assurance reports and correspondence in English.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required include close distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May require the use of equipment in the machine shop, small portable equipment and manual tools. Duties may require the occasional operation of a motor vehicle or travel to another state on behalf of the company.
This position is working on a shift basis and may also be scheduled to work all shifts. While performing the duties of this job there will be regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
