What you'll be doing:
Leading and mentoring a talented team of 4-5 kitchen staff.
Planning and managing rotas to ensure efficient coverage.
Creating exciting and varied menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
Ensuring all food preparation and kitchen operations adhere to the highest hygiene and safety standards.
Playing a key role in the overall dining experience for residents.
What we're looking for:
Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally within a care home or similar setting.
Essential IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) training or demonstrable knowledge is crucial for this role.
A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or higher.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent understanding of dietary requirements and nutritional needs.
A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on residents' lives.
The ability to work 8 hours a day, 3 days a week, including 1-2 weekends per month, with guaranteed weekdays off.
