Responsibilities

* Software Development
o Plan, design, implement, and test products of low to medium complexity with daily to weekly supervision.
o Demonstrate ownership of limited areas of the intercom system software architecture.
o Document design from high‑level block diagram down to specific implementation decisions.
o Validate design specifications, develop test equipment as necessary, and collaborate with QA to develop test procedures.
o Transfer standards, test specifications, verification methodologies, test harnesses, and test reports created during design verification to Quality Assurance for regression.
o Develop and maintain engineering work products in accordance with the established product development process and applicable project standards and methodologies.
o Participate in development process improvement activities and lead and participate in design and code reviews, both formal and agile forms.
* Support
o Assist in maintaining computer and lab infrastructure as required.
o Maintain market awareness for Clear‑Com and HME products, including key competitors, product features, and applications.
o Maintain and increase knowledge of current development technologies.


Qualifications

* Experience
o Object‑oriented analysis and design experience; familiarity with structured and functional decomposition design methodologies.
o C/C++ coding experience and/or other high‑level languages.
o Design of automation script languages.
o Proficient communication and writing skills for group settings.
o Debugging software on PC host platforms or embedded hardware using debuggers and emulators.
o Proficient touch‑typing and use of word processors, spreadsheets, and databases.
o Familiarity with network application design.
o Strong reasoning and problem‑solving abilities.
* Education
o Technical School or Certificate – Required.
o BA or BS – Preferred.
* Travel Occasional, as required.
