Career Progression opportunities The Person The ideal candidate will be: ACA or ACCA qualified accountant Proven experience preparing, reviewing, and advising on management and year-end accounts Preference for candidates from small practices with mixed-role experience Strong leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and workload delegation Excellent organisational abilities and commitment to high technical standards Outstanding communication and client relationship skills Commercially aware with ability to identify growth opportunities Proficient in accountancy software and workflow management tools Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Desirable: Experience managing a team within an accountancy practice Involvement in workflow or process improvement initiatives Exposure to a variety of sectors and industries The Role You will have a wide range of duties, such as; Lead client advisory services, including strategic planning, high-value advice, and timely, accurate deliverables. Manage financial compliance work such as VAT returns, year-end accounts, tax returns, and quarterly management accounts. Act as primary contact for key clients, building long-term relationships and tailoring advice to their needs. Represent the firm at client meetings, networking events, and professional forums. Manage, coach, and develop a team of accountants and trainees, promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth.
