Key Role Responsibilities
As an SEN English Teacher, you will be crucial in tailoring education to meet individual student needs. Your duties will include:
* Delivering high:quality, engaging English lessons specifically adapted for students with diverse SEN.
* Adapting curriculum content using frameworks such as P Scales to ensure accessibility and relevance.
* Fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports student well:being and development.
* Collaborating effectively with professional staff and the wider team to deliver comprehensive student support.
* Providing personal care support when necessary.
Essential Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Qualification: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
* Experience: Proven experience working with SEN students in a UK school setting.
* Skills: Proficiency in curriculum adaptation (e.g., P Scales), inclusive teaching methodologies, and effective classroom management.
* Attributes: Strong patience, empathy, communication, and teamwork abilities.
* Compliance: Must possess a valid DBS check on the Update Service, or be willing for one immediately.
