My client is a growing UK business who have just built a new site near Rotherham. They are looking to bring an innovative product to an expanding market and are seeking an Engineering & Maintenance Lead to help strengthen their team. This appointment will be pivotal in developing and executing the maintenance strategy, and so a 'can-do' attitude, the ability to think outside the box, and not being afraid to roll your sleeves up are all key characteristics that will play an important part in this role.
Description
To develop and implement a proactive maintenance strategy (including both PPMs and reactive maintenance)
Setting up the systems, schedules and documentation from scratch for a new facility
Ensure all machinery is maintained to the highest possible standards
Lead on fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs across electrical and mechanical systems
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment/machinery
Manage the spare parts inventory and stock-holding in line with business requirements
Collaborate with the production team to improve equipment reliability and performance
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsProfile
The successful Engineering & Maintenance Lead will have:
A background in multi-skilled maintenance with a good understanding of electrical (17th/18th edition or equivalent) and mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems
Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment
Prior experience with PPMs and implementing these for new processes
A solution-orientated mindset and the ability to work autonomously
Hands-on approach whilst also being able to direct the wider maintenance strategy
Any experience with setting up a maintenance function in a new site build, factory relocation or process improvement would be advantageousJob Offer
Salary of £55-65k, depending on experience
