The Executive Headteacher and Governing Body of Pentyrch Primary School are looking to appoint a dynamic, strong, innovative and inspirational teacher to work within our primary school.
The successful candidate will need to have high expectations for pupils with a wide range of ability and experiences and be able to join an enthusiastic, hardworking, committed and helpful team of staff. He/she or They will be an excellent practitioner who is able to enthuse and motivate pupils.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
•the skills of an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations of children’s behaviour, achievement, progress and wellbeing
•an excellent understanding of the new curriculum and progression
•ICT proficient in the delivery of lessons, where relevant
•experience of planning and implementing the curriculum through contexts for learning
•an understanding of assessment in learning and how to implement in the classroom
•a commitment to developing innovative and reflective approaches to learning and teaching

This post is a temporary contract and is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Under the Teacher and Higher Education Act 1998 and the Teachers (Compulsory Registration) Wales Regulations 2000, every qualified teacher, who is employed in a maintained school must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.[NJ2.1]
