We are currently working in partnership with a well-established social housing provider to recruit an experienced Housing Officer for an exciting opportunity within a busy neighbourhood team inBury, Manchester.
This is an initial temporary position with a clear pathway to a permanent role, offering the chance to make an immediate impact while securing long-term career progression.
You will take ownership of a general needs housing patch, managing the full spectrum of tenancy and estate management responsibilities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly build confidence with residents and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities of a Housing Officer:
* Manage a general needs housing patch with full accountability
* Deliver end-to-end tenancy management, including rent, ASB, and estate issues
* Lead on rent collection and arrears recovery, driving performance improvements
* Carry out home visits and build strong tenant relationships
* Conduct estate inspections and ensure high neighbourhood standards
* Enforce tenancy agreements, addressing breaches professionally and consistently
* Support team delivery through collaborative working and shared priorities

* Experienced Housing Officer or Tenancy Management professional
* Strong background in rent collection and arrears management
* Confident managing a full housing patch independently
