We are seeking a skilled and experienced occupational therpiast to join our team in Blackburn with Darwen on a locum basis. This role involves delivering essential community-based assessments and interventions for individuals requiring equipment minor adaptations to support their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending both standard and specialist equipment.
* Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients homes.
* Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to create individualized support plans.
* Maintain thorough and accurate records in line with professional and legal standards.
Requirements
* HCPC registrations and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
* Demonstrated experience working within a local authority setting.
* Proficiency in completing manual handling assessments.
* Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptation processes.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* DBS Enhanced clearance.
