Location & Contract
RAF Molesworth, Huntingdon, PE28 5AG (occasionally travel to RAF Alconbury and USVF West London). Contract type: Full Time, Permanent. Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM). Salary: £38,000 to £42,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our dedicated engineering team supporting critical infrastructure across domestic, commercial, and industrial buildings. The role is based at RAF Molesworth and includes occasional travel to RAF Alconbury and USVF West London, placing you at the heart of essential UK and US operations.
Responsibilities
* Planned maintenance, remedial work, and reactive repairs – delivering high‑quality results on time.
* Replacement of light switches and MCBs, conducting lighting tests, minor installations, and system testing.
* Managing tasks assigned through PDA and autonomously scheduling work.
* Accurate documentation of all work with clear and detailed notes.
* Close collaboration with the wider engineering team and support of emergency callouts as part of an on‑call rota.
Qualifications
* City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 in Electrical Installation (18th Edition with Amendment 2) or equivalent; full clean UK driving licence.
* Previous experience in electrical maintenance across domestic, commercial, and industrial settings; experience in carrying out Fixed Wire Inspections.
* Desirable: C&G 2391 in Testing & Inspection, an IPAF qualification, or previous experience in MOD or secure property maintenance environments.
* Must be able to pass SC Clearance.
