The successful candidate will lead the Cylinder Operations Department, including cylinder preparation, testing, and the Dissolved Acetylene Hub, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and efficiency goals. You also will manage a team of four new supervisors and have strong influencing skills and the ability to inspire others. (Good coaching and mentoring skills etc). Duties Lead the Cylinder Operations Department, including cylinder preparation, testing, and the Dissolved Acetylene Hub, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and efficiency goals Ensure compliance with accredited standards, including ISO 17020, and maintain UKAS and Notified Body certifications through successful audits Drive operational excellence by managing resources effectively and delivering exceptional service levels while meeting financial and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) benchmarks Oversee cylinder and drum tank preparation processes, ensuring accuracy within the cylinder tracking system and compliance with required standards Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment by supporting the development of employees through training, upskilling, and competency programs. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to optimize departmental performance. Manage off-site storage and third-party locations, ensuring efficient coordination of cylinder packages and maintaining stock accuracy Actively seek process improvements by implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Serve as a key member of the Branch Management Team, contributing to strategic objectives and responding to emergency needs as a Duty Manager.
