Overview
Archangel Autonomy is seeking a proactive team member to bridge its PMO and Business Operations functions. This role provides support to the Programme Management Office and will have strong ties to Finance and Business Operations. The candidate should understand Project Management methodology and tools, and have experience with R&D project finance throughout the project lifecycle, with various spending, reporting, and auditing requirements. A foundational accounting or bookkeeping qualification or equivalent is preferred. The role is suitable for someone who is highly organized, forward-thinking, adaptable, and motivated to build internal processes and structure for the business to run on. The role could involve managing smaller projects within the PMO if desired.
This role can be on a part-time basis for suitable candidates.
Responsibilities
* Project administrative support: Support project delivery by maintaining documentation, tracking actions, and assisting with scheduling, agendas, and minute-taking
* Project management support: Assist and deputise the Project Manager in updating plans; monitor progress, spend, risks, and quality; support stakeholder communication, reporting, audits, supplier coordination, and process improvements across the PMO and operations
* Finance support: Assist and deputise the Finance Manager in bookkeeping, purchasing, payments, VAT and R&D returns, and financial reporting, including support for annual accounts
Essential Skills or Experience
* Basic experience using different Project Management methodology and software tools
* Basic experience handling project finance throughout the project lifecycle with different spending, reporting & auditing requirements
* Foundational accounting / bookkeeping qualification or equivalent
* Intermediate Excel experience
* Organised with good note taking and actions tracking, structured thinking, clear and concise communication, adaptability, and the ability to create clarity from incomplete data; commercial awareness and business savviness to apply judgment and work autonomously
Desired Skills or Experience
* Experience within or with a PMO function delivering an advanced R&D tech program
* Risk and issue management experience
* Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project
* Defence / UAV / AI industry knowledge and experience
* Commercial experience or working with contracts

Security clearance
