Job Opportunity: Test Team Principal
Salt is partnered with an NHS Trust in Wales seeking a Test Team Principal for an initial 9-month contract.
The role involves travel across Trust sites in Wales and requires flexibility in working patterns.
Experience within the NHS and the ability to speak Welsh are desirable qualifications.
The position is inside IR35 and falls under an NHS band 7 pay grade.
Job Summary
1. Responsible for all aspects of testing services as the Test Principal, including management, support, and development.
2. Implement testing strategies aligned with the Trust's Test Framework and Assurance Processes, and develop test plans accordingly.
3. Provide advice on testing complex programmes, including presentations to senior management and teams, ensuring compliance with quality assurance and system testing policies.
4. Lead, plan, and manage software testing across multiple complex projects.
5. Manage the testing lifecycle for major applications, ensuring they meet user requirements and assurance strategies.
6. Oversee key testing phases such as Systems and Integration Testing (SIT), Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), Regression Testing, and Performance Testing, ensuring delivery aligns with project plans.
7. Define long-term test strategies to adapt to changing user and stakeholder needs.
8. Collaborate with Digital Transformation Managers, Project Managers, Senior Developers, and Senior Users; supervise and coordinate the activities of test analysts during testing phases.
