Overview
The Band 1 Desktop Support Engineer will provide day-to-day local desktop support for users at the Grenoble site. You will be responsible for resolving hardware, software, and application issues, as well as providing customer assistance and addressing their questions. This is a long-term position, and you will work closely with other on-site technicians to ensure seamless support.
Responsibilities
* Provide first and second-level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
* Keep tickets up to date for all reported incidents.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and other enterprise applications.
* Perform preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
* Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot network connectivity and hardware/software issues.
* Assist other technicians with their work and provide support to higher-level engineers.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Minimum of 18 months of IT experience, with a focus on Windows desktop support.
* Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with Windows 7–10, Microsoft Active Directory, MS Office 365, and PC hardware installation.
* Knowledge of mobile device management (iOS and Android) is a plus.
* Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* A valid driving license is a must.
Location
This is an on-site position in Grenoble, France. The engineer must be local to the area or willing to relocate.
