Account Manager Job Description: Role Overview Join Sage as an Account-Based Sales Executive and play a pivotal role in strengthening partnerships with accounting practices across the UK. This is a customer-facing role focused on deepening relationships, driving adoption of Sage solutions, and supporting practices in their digital transformation journey. Your success will be measured through account growth, customer satisfaction, and advocacy metrics such as revenue performance, base penetration, and Net Promoter Score (NPS). This is a hybrid role 3 days in office 2 days home office (Newcastle) Key Responsibilities: Strategic Account Development - Build and nurture long-term relationships with accounting practices to create trusted advocates for Sage. - Develop joint strategic plans with practices that align to their business goals and digital transformation objectives. - Drive growth within existing accounts through consultative engagement and tailored solutions. Customer Success & Advocacy - Ensure practices realise the full value of Sage products and services through proactive engagement and success initiatives. - Act as a trusted advisor, helping practices optimise workflows and enhance client service through technology. - Promote advocacy by delivering exceptional experiences and sharing success stories. Consultative Solution Delivery - Understand client needs, pain points, and aspirations to recommend the right Sage solutions. - Confidently demonstrate Sage's product portfolio and advise on best practices for adoption and utilisation. Operational Excellence - Maintain accurate records in CRM systems for effective pipeline management and forecasting. - Monitor performance against KPIs and identify opportunities to improve engagement and advocacy outcomes. - Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting the accountancy sector. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience - Strong relationship management and influencing skills. - Proven experience in account management, customer success, or sales-ideally within software, SaaS, or professional services. - Excellent customer service mindset with ability to identify and respond to client needs. - Results-oriented, with a track record of achieving growth and retention targets. - High adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment. - Strong organisational and time management skills for independent, remote work. - Analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into actionable plans. - Understanding of the accountancy industry and digital technologies.
