Working for a leading manufacturing business in Chesterfield, you will be part of a specialist data management team. The main purpose of the role will be to support the operational business with the analysis and management of master data sets.

- Hybrid working is available after the initial training/induction period (2 weeks full office contact then 2-3 days working from home). We ask that applicants live in the local area and are able to commute to Chesterfield
- Salary: £24,500 - £29,000, dependent on experience
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- 5 pm finish with 1-hour lunch

Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business. The vacancy is based in an established, friendly team with a supportive manager.
The main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the daily creation, maintenance, and management of master data information. This master data supports operational decision-making and the enhancement of product information. Daily duties include data management of large datasets, Excel-based reporting, and analysis of data quality and performance. The role would suit a candidate with excellent data administration and analysis skills, previous experience in master data management, and the ability to handle large data sets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading master data management analysis and continuous improvement programs
- Extensive data entry and administration
- Implementing data controls to ensure data quality
- Supporting projects to improve data performance and usage in the wider business
- Using Excel at an intermediate level, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Knowledge of Oracle EBS, Oracle Agile, SAP (desirable but not essential)
- Supporting product data configurations, item creation, and costing elements
- Assigning manufacturing routings
- Applying pricing data to master product data and maintaining listings
- Collaborating with Customer Service, Operations, and Finance
- Conducting audits and generating reports to ensure data quality
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent data analysis skills
- Ability to handle large datasets and repetitive data processing tasks
- Data management experience, ideally within manufacturing
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate/advanced)
- Familiarity with SQL (desirable but not essential)
- Graduate level candidates are welcome
