Job Summary
We are a friendly, rural, multiple site GMS Practice with 4 Partners and 8 salaried doctors serving 14600 patients. We are seeking applications from enthusiastic, motivated GPs for salaried GP posts as a permanent role to maintain a high standard of quality care. We are a flexible and supportive employer with an established but growing team committed to patient‑centred continuity of care. We recently achieved a GOOD rating in our CQC inspection and ranked 5th in Cambridge and Peterborough in GP patient feedback. We host GP Registrars and Cambridge Medical Students, and use an EMISweb clinical system with part dispensing and a traditional appointment system. Paramedics and Clinical Pharmacists support GPs with patient contacts; our workflow team manages 90% of incoming documents. Regular GP, team and multidisciplinary meetings with protected time; an experienced nursing team trained in minor illness and chronic disease management. One session per week pro‑rata CPD with encouragement of special interests. Research‑ready accredited Practice. 98% patient satisfaction. Sessions & salary commensurate with experience, including defence union subscription & GMC registration.

GPs will be involved in the delivery of all services incorporated within the GMS contract to meet the needs of our growing patient population.

SALARIED GENERAL PRACTITIONER – Reports to: The Partners (Clinically); The Practice Manager (Administratively)
Job Summary
The post‑holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical Responsibilities
* In accordance with the practice timetable, undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, home visits, signing repeat prescriptions and handling paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
* Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, self‑referred or referred from other health care workers
* Assess health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
* Develop care plans in consultation with patients in line with current practice disease management protocols
* Provide counselling and health education
* Admit or discharge patients to/from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate
* Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
* Collect data for audit purposes
* Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions, avoiding handwritten prescriptions where possible
* Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) when clinically appropriate
* Complete Insurance Reports and Medicals for patients under care
* Contribute to duty/cover arrangements during Practice closures and for GP colleagues when absent
* Undertake the normal duties and responsibilities of a GP in primary care
