SEN Teacher (Primary ASD Base) - Barking & Dagenham - September 2025
A mainstream primary school with an ASD Base are searching for a SEN Teacher to take the class in their dedicated provision. The ASD base caters to 12 children in total, ranging from Reception to Year 6 age.
Classes are grouped based on age and ability, with pupils integrating into the mainstream as appropriate. Some children may transition to a specialist setting, while others remain in the provision until the end of Year 6.
Parents are supportive and engaged, with the school offering access to structured learning areas, calm spaces and a dedicated team who focus on communication, social development and independence.
The ARP is led by experienced senior staff who ensure strong collaboration across the mainstream and provision. Teachers and LSA's are well supported with regular CPD and strong communication channels with families.
As a SEN Teacher at the ASD Base you will be delivering semi-individualised learning plans, supported by the TA's and following TEACCH-informed practices. Suitable candidates for this SEN Teacher position will have primary teaching experience, either mainstream or SEN.
