Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal role at IVC Evidensia
Salary up to £80,000 DOE + £5,000 Relocation Allowance + £5,000 Welcome Bonus
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Lincvet. We are a 3-site, tier 2, small animal-only practice. The role involves both surgical and consulting shifts, including caring for inpatients during the day at our main branch. We can support candidates that are looking for consults only as well. We prioritise work/life balance and value our staff highly, offering part-time hours to suit your needs.
The Rota
A full-time role would involve working 40 hours per week over a 4-day week, shifts of 10 hours, with 1:3 Saturdays required (08:00–13:00).
Our phones are diverted to Vets Now from 7:00pm to 8:00am weekdays and from 12:00pm Saturday until 8:00am Monday. Lincvet offers a nurturing environment where staff are valued and supported. Professional development is encouraged, and reasonable development plans including certificates will be considered.
About Our Caring Practice
Lincvet is a 3-site, tier 2 small animal practice with progressive and friendly staff. Our out-of-hours (OOH) are covered by Vets Now, with the option to hospitalise appropriate stable cases at our main site on weeknights. These cases are managed by a veterinary nurse on a rota basis, supported by a dedicated vet. We operate at our main branch and ensure vets have time here to manage inpatient cases, while also spending time at other branches to build a client base and ensure continuity.
We strongly encourage case continuity and provide excellent support to all levels of experience. Facilities include ultrasound, in-house lab, digital x-ray, tonometer, and dental facilities including x-ray, with strong support staff to facilitate workload. We are a training practice with an open attitude to learning. Our team comprises 5 Veterinary Surgeons, supported by 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse and 6 Receptionists. We also have an Ambulance Driver, Administrator and Practice Manager. Our CD has a certificate in small animal surgery, and 3 of our RVNs are clinical coaches.
