The City of Wyoming Michigan Fleet Services Division isseeking a Fleet Services Utility or Senior Technician to join its team.
This position will work on diagnostics, preventativemaintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment such as fire trucks, dumptrucks, backhoes, street sweepers, police cars, mowers, and other heavy orlight equipment associated with City operations.
Qualifications include a high school degreesupplemented by trade school completion or a college degree in heavy or lighttruck and equipment maintenance with experience in heavy or light truck andequipment repair and maintenance. Must be State of Michigan certified andASE certified and possess a valid State of Michigan Commercial A License or beable to obtain within 6 months.
Employees progressively gain experience, learn to planand prioritize a diverse workload, and will be required to obtain licenses suchas commercial driver's licenses (CDL) and ASE certifications. The city pays forand trains employees to obtain and maintain a CDL, as well as other licensesand certifications. Additionally, the city provides employees with safety bootsand shoes, cold-weather gear, and uniforms.
This position includes a competitive pay and benefitspackage. Highlights include:
* Four-dayworkweek (Monday-Thursday), 38 hours per week (full-time)

* Paid leavetime, including holidays, sick, vacation, and personal days
