BMSL are currently looking for MV Commissioning Engineers for work in the UK and Scandanavia please find a rough guide to the duties involved below. Roles & Responsibilities Able to lone working; Work live and switch up to 1000V (up to 11/33KV preferable but not essential. If unable open to learning); Enter a Switch Room and recognise if the Asset or Switch Room is safe to work in/on by proving dead through the safe isolation procedure; Read and interoperate detailed RAMS; Cross reference part numbers and identify reference/asset issues; Perform manual handling activities to manoeuvre and final position switch panel sections into the desired room from delivery point; Interoperate lifting plans from the delivery driver to set out safe restricted access zones; Understand room setting out requirements & room layout plans; Setting up the work site in terms of safety, access and where materials are kept; Couple LV/MV switch panel sections panel together and fix to the floor; Install and terminate control cabling; Torque mechanical and electrical connections; Critical Clean of LV & MV assets; Receive Electrical Safety Document (permits); Perform and record Dead Test results; Perform Insulation resistance test; Perform Flash test; Perform Low Ohms resistance test; Perform Secondary Injection test; Perform Primary Injection test; Configure protection device relay software; Operate dead Air...
