Teaching Personnel are seeking a caring, patient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school near Lanner. This role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs across both KS1 and KS2, working 20 hours per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in an inclusive and supportive environment. The role is set to start on 15th December and has the potential to continue as a long-term placement.
Role Responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN across KS1 and KS2
* Supporting children with emotional, behavioural, or learning needs
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering accessible and engaging activities
* Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
* Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ well-being
* Offering individual or small-group interventions where needed
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience supporting children with SEN (in KS1 and/or KS2)
✔ Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
✔ Availability for 20 hours per week
✔ A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
