We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our Rye Meads Sewage Treatment team. You do not need a background in the Water industry. We welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.
Role Overview
You will be part of the frontline operations team covering the sewage treatment sites. This essential front-line role is vital for our operations. You will work in all weather conditions, performing a range of tasks to ensure our wastewater treatment works operate effectively, maintaining supply to customers and protecting the environment. This includes PPM of equipment to support plant operation.

Responsibilities
1. Carrying out scheduled maintenance on plant and equipment in line with standards to improve resilience.
2. Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to meet operational and safety standards.
3. Responding to reactive jobs following equipment failure.
4. Maintaining site cleanliness and conducting safety and security checks.
5. Working safely in compliance with all health and safety procedures.
Location and Working Pattern
Base Location: Rye Meads Sewage Works - SG12 8JY.
Hours: 38 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, with standby and overtime opportunities for additional pay.
Candidate Profile
* Self-motivated, disciplined, eager to learn, with a positive attitude.
* Ownership in responding to faults, understanding problems, and resolving them efficiently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Team-oriented and proactive in suggesting improvements.
* Willing to undergo safety training.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards.
* Valid UK driver’s license.

* Starting salary from £25,000, depending on experience.
