The Opportunity Are you a technical expert with a passion for food safety, compliance, and raw material integrity? Walker & Son, a leader in high-quality food manufacturing, is looking for a Compliance & Raw Materials Manager to lead our sites technical compliance and raw materials agenda. Own and lead the sites Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure safe, legal, and high-quality products.
Champion audit readiness, leading internal, third-party, and customer audits.
Manage raw material approval and validation, ensuring supplier compliance and material integrity.
Lead the HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP programmes and maintain robust food defence plans.
Develop and mentor a high-performing technical team, driving continuous improvement and technical excellence.

As a valued member of our team, you will bring the following skills and experience: - Degree or HND in a food-related subject (or equivalent experience).
Level 4 HACCP and Food Safety qualifications.
23 years experience in a technical compliance and raw materials role within food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of UK retailer Codes of Practice and food safety legislation.
Proven leadership in managing audits, risk assessments, and supplier performance.
Digitally proficient, with strong skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
