The purpose of this role is to help manage the business through a period of significant development and change by undertaking technical project management responsibility and ensuring that the project work is delivered on time and within budget. Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are informed of the progress of all relevant projects and that any risks, issues, or changes are managed through the correct processes.
* Deliver projects that align with Unity’s and IT’s strategic objectives, using defined methodologies to manage resources, risks, and issues for on-time, on-budget delivery.
* Translate business requirements into customer-focused systems and services, working closely with sponsors, users, and vendors on application upgrades, branch changes, and product rollouts.
* Ensure thorough handover documentation and conduct post-project reviews, including lessons learned and benefits analysis.
* Support governance by managing project committees and ensuring compliance with risk, issue, and change control processes.
* Provide leadership and direction to project teams, train staff on new technologies and processes, and build strong relationships with front-line business teams.
* Assist users and IT operations in resolving issues, liaising with vendors as needed, and maintain strong supplier relationships while staying updated on technology developments.
* Keep project methodology current and effective, support IT change board governance, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
* Apply automation knowledge such as scripting, APIs, source code management, and network awareness to enhance delivery.
What We’re Looking For
* PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification (E)
* Migration expertise (AWS, Azure) and broad IT infrastructure experience (D)
* Scrum Master certification (D)
* Banking qualifications (D)
* Business Analysis in Agile (Foundation & Practitioner) (D)
Knowledge & Skills
* Essential:
o Strong understanding of banking processes, regulatory requirements, and technology
o Excellent communication, documentation, planning, and time management skills
* Desirable:
o Advanced technical skills and analytical thinking
o Ability to influence stakeholders and deliver effective solutions
o Experience producing detailed reports and presentations
