As a Social Worker, you can be the reason why lives change for the better as you help some of the most vulnerable people gain a brighter future. You will be working 22.5 hours a week as a Part-time Social Worker at Victoria Gardens, where you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with a strong emphasis on teamwork at Victoria Gardens, Huyton, Liverpool. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract position.
You will have previous experience from the NHS or private care, managing a complex caseload, and will be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitating group activities, and contributing to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future.
As a Social Worker, you report to the Safeguarding Lead, manage internal investigations, and liaise with home authorities for service users during their admission and discharge process.

As a Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:
1. Referrals to LADO and Local Authority in line with safeguarding and assessments
2. Educating hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters
3. Completing a full annual social care reassessment within the CPA format
4. Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services, and support services
5. Participating in 1:1 supervision
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
1. Registration with Social Work England
2. A Social Work degree
3. Experience within a similar environment
4. Experience working with mental illness
Where you will be working:
You will be based at Victoria Gardens, a specialist rehabilitation service for individuals with complex mental health needs and behaviors that challenge. You will support the service in equipping service users with skills for community living and increased independence.
The service is recovery-based and incorporates elements of the Good Lives Model, supported by individualized interventions. We have a full multidisciplinary team including nursing, a consultant psychiatrist, psychologist, occupational therapist, and social worker support.
