Role: .Net Team Leader
Location: Norwich (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £60, DOE
A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced .NET Development Team Leader to lead a small but highly capable development team responsible for delivering and supporting business-critical systems.
Reporting to the Applications Development Manager, this role combines technical leadership, people management and project delivery. You will oversee the development of internal systems, ensure the team is delivering high-quality solutions and maintain strong support for business users.
You will manage projects across the full development lifecycle, from planning and design through to implementation and ongoing support, while helping to develop and motivate the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the development team
2. Deputise for the Applications Development Manager when required
3. Plan and schedule team workloads and provide progress updates to management
4. Ensure adequate team cover for development and support activities
5. Mentor and develop team members, supporting their technical growth
6. Conduct staff appraisals and performance reviews in line with department standards
7. Manage projects from concept through to delivery within agreed timelines and budgets
8. Produce technical specifications, estimates and implementation plans
9. Ensure systems are well documented, tested and maintained to a high standard
10. Ensure user issues are resolved efficiently and escalated where necessary
11. Contribute to improving development standards and best practices
Skills & Experience
12. Strong experience with .NET development (C# / ASP.NET)
13. Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server
14. Development within Microsoft Visual Studio environments
15. Experience working with Azure platforms and services
16. Knowledge of HTML and web technologies
17. Familiarity with MS Windows environments
18. Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Desirable Skills
19. JavaScript or TypeScript
20. Azure DevOps
21. PowerShell scripting
22. Experience with Power Platform
23. Mobile development exposure (Android / iOS)
24. Experience with .NET MAUI
