Mazco Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Rugby. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Sliding Head CNC Programmer to join their team on a weekend shift working Friday to Sunday.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern manufacturing environment producing high-precision components for a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities
* Programming, setting and operating STAR Sliding Head CNC machines
* Producing complex precision-machined components to tight tolerances
* Editing and optimising CNC programs to improve efficiency and quality
* Selecting and setting tooling and fixtures
* Conducting first-off inspections and ensuring components meet specification
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Monitoring machine performance and maintaining production targets
* Working independently to manage jobs from setup through to completion
Requirements
* Proven experience programming, setting and operating STAR Sliding Head machines
* Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and tooling
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
* Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
* Previous experience within a precision engineering environment
