Also within year 1, you will be on day release with our training provider completing a Level 3 diploma in Engineering covering core subjects such as engineering maths, science and first principles. You will then spend 1 day a week within the work environment at Z-Tech working alongside our experienced technicians and engineers.

Year 2 - Will be the start of your Level 3 part of the Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard in either mechanical, electrical and/or control & instrumentation (MEICA). This will be conducted at the workplace alongside experienced technicians and engineers across our apprenticeship pathway programme through our 5 Business Units (Water, Energy, Rail, AES & Labour), where you will be assessed on site. You will also be continuing your day release with our training provider to complete the 2nd and final year of the Level 3 diploma in Engineering.
