Job Overview
Our beautiful care home Ashbourne Court is seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener to join our team. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining our beautiful gardens. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening techniques, and the use of power and hand tools. We are looking for someone with strong gardening knowledge.
Duties
Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns
Plant, water, and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees
Prune and shape plants to maintain their health and appearance
Apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed
Use of a jet wash to clean paths
Clean and maintain garden beds by removing weeds and debris.
Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners for various gardening tasks
Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute landscaping projects
Requirements
Proven experience in gardening
Knowledge of different plant species and their care requirements
Familiarity with power tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
